Will my sessions be private?
Yes, you will be working out with your FITLife Trainer one-on-one, in a private personal training studio.
Will I sign a contract?
No, you may purchase your sessions as you need or want them. You may buy one session at a time or a discounted package. The sessions you purchase are good for as long as you take to use them. For example, you may start with two sessions a week and find you only need one a week or every two weeks. This is one reason the discount packages are a good choice.
Do you offer free sessions?
No & Yes,
We stand behind everything we do and we give real service and our clients expect the best and are happy to pay us. Most of our clients come from referrals! There is a reason for that!
We do give you a first time discount. It can add up to several sessions off. Don’t forget the coupon!
We give a free session (as a thank you) every time you refer us to someone and they come in and work with us. We give a free session for your birthday! We offer discount and specials to our clients on an on going basis. We do this because we appreciate you!
What should I look for in a personal trainer?
Qualification:
Certification is the first thing to look for. A personal trainer should be certified because that’s your assurance you’re working with a trainer who has the knowledge to provide you with a safe and effective workout.
Not just any certification will do. You want a personal trainer who has been certified by a nationally recognized certifying organization, like ISSA, ACE, ACSM, and NESTA. Certification is more than a piece of paper. For example, to qualify for certification, a personal trainer has to pass an intensive three-and-a-half hour, 175-question exam that covers exercise science and programming knowledge, including anatomy, kinesiology, health screening, basic nutrition and instructional methods. All FITLife personal trainers are certified, most are degreed in exercise, and many have Masters in a qualifying area. After checking certification, there are a few other things you should take into consideration when hiring a personal trainer.
References:
This may require asking direct questions. A Checklist to Help You Hire the Right Personal Trainer: Ask for references, ask the trainer for the names and phone numbers of other clients with goals similar to yours. Call to see if they were pleased with their workouts, if the trainer was punctual and prepared, and if they felt their individual needs were addressed. The best personal trainer to hire is the one others give high marks to. We have hundreds of testimonials and references.
Insurance:
Make sure the trainer has liability insurance and provides business policies in writing. Many personal trainers operate as independent contractors and are not employees of a fitness facility. You should find out if the trainer you want to hire carries professional liability insurance. A reputable personal trainer should also make sure you understand the cancellation policy and billing procedure. The best way to avoid confusion and to protect your rights is to have those policies in writing.
Every FITLife personal trainer is covered with liability insurance. Look for a trainer who is able to assist you with your special needs. A personal trainer should always have you fill out a health history questionnaire to determine your needs or limitations. If you have a medical condition or a past injury, a personal trainer should design a session that takes these into account. If you’re under a doctor’s care, a personal trainer should discuss any exercise concerns with your doctor, and should ask for a health screening or release from your doctor. Our Microfit / FITLife assessment takes in account your physical concerns as well as your goals.
Rates:
Find out what the trainer charges. Rates vary, depending on the trainer’s experience, and the length and location of the workout session. For example, a personal trainer who works in a fitness club will probably charge less per hour than one who works independently and needs to come to your home or office. All of our pricing is on our web site. You may choose between sessions in our private studio and many other options. Decide if this is someone you can work with. Some people like to exercise in the morning, some in the evening. Will the personal trainer you’re talking to accommodate your schedule?
Preferences:
What about the trainer’s gender? Some people do better working with a trainer of the same sex; others prefer the opposite sex. FITLife Personal Training has 10 qualified Professional Personal Trainers. A personality, expertise, time or gender that will motivate you to help you get those incredible results! The personal trainer you select should motivate you by positive, not negative, reinforcement. Even more importantly, that trainer should be someone you like.
The personal trainer who best measures up is the one to hire. Because that’s the professional who will help you get the best results. FITLife Personal Training will match you to the perfect personal trainer for you. Based on your goals, time to workout, and place to workout!
What should you look for in a personal training company?
Questions to ask a personal training company before you begin:
How long have you been in business?
FITLife has been in business since 1984.
If they are a new company they may not have all the benefits and programs they claim. Ask the owner how long they have been personal training and how old they are.
Ask them when they graduated from college and or when they were first certified. If they are new at personal training you may be at risk from an inexperienced personal trainer.
How many personal trainers do you have? Who are they?
There are 10 Professional Fitness Trainers and they are all certified and have years of experience. They are on “Our Trainers” page, please check them out. They also go through a very intense internship with FITLife before they begin working with clients.
Are your clients satisfied with their results and with working with you as a company?
Our testimonials are on my web site with many success photos to prove we get real results!
You may want to ask for testimonials from real people. Get names and numbers and please call them!
